Luxury line Seabourn has revealed design details for The Club and Sky Bar, two of the public spaces onboard its first expedition ship, the Seabourn Venture.
The Club is a setting where guests can mix and mingle, eat and drink, and hear good music in some of the most remote corners of the globe. The Club, and its outdoor venue, the Sky Bar, is being designed by hospitality design icon Adam D. Tihany for Seabourn’s two new ultra-luxury purpose-built expedition vessels.
Seabourn Venture will launch in late 2021, followed by a sister ship in 2022.
On Seabourn Venture’s 2021-2022 Norwegian Winter Inaugural Season, the expedition ship will sail a series of 10- to 14-day voyages, cruising the beautiful coastlines of Norway.
The Club is a popular lounge across the Seabourn fleet, and on the expedition ships it will feature expansive windows, making it an ideal spot to watch the scenery and wildlife in the various destinations.
Tihany used brilliant hues of blue and green inspired by the deep-sea and unique art displays, including a coral-inspired mural that extends the feeling to its outdoor Sky Bar.
Other distinctive details include a water-vapor fireplace set like buried treasure at the center of The Club, and a dedicated stage and dance floor for live performances. Guests can sit back and enjoy lounge chairs from the signature Tihany Design Venture collection as well as banquette seating. Colorful decorative pillows arrayed with playful sea-inspired patterns will add to the energy and warmth of the space.
In The Club, a sushi chef will be stationed behind a stone-topped, wood-and-antique-mirrored counter, serving fresh sushi bites and sake offerings. The Club will also offer custom-crafted cocktails and fine wines served at cocktail hour, and live music before and after dinner.
The Sky Bar, located on the aft deck of the lounge will serve drinks over a paneled teak bar. In addition, two whirlpools will be located at each corner of the deck, providing dramatic views of the surrounding environment.
Seabourn Venture’s 2021-2022 Norwegian Winter Inaugural Season is now open for reservation. Between December 2021 and April 2022, the luxury expedition ship will sail a series of 10- to 14-day itineraries. On each voyage, guests will discover Norway’s beautiful winter landscapes, learn about Viking history and culture, and search for the majestic Northern Lights.
