Guests sailing onboard Seabourn Venture will receive a breathtaking perspective on the sights in some of the world’s most coveted and remote destinations as they relax in the Constellation Lounge. Offering stunning 270-degree views, the lounge will be perched up high and forward on Seabourn’s new purpose-built expedition ship, scheduled to launch in 2021.
Designed along the lines of the Observation Bar, among the most popular venues on every ship in the current Seabourn fleet, the Constellation Lounge will debut with the launch of Seabourn Venture in June 2021, and follow on the yet-to-be-named sister expedition ship in May 2022.
“The Constellation Lounge creates a scene all its own on our new expedition vessels, inviting guests into a stunning space with myriad delights to enjoy from morning into the night,” said Richard Meadows, president of Seabourn. “The design of the space inspires, just like the sky above. It will play out as an ideal setting to relax, unwind, and review the day while soaking up amazing views.”
Positioned on Deck 9 forward, the Constellation Lounge will be the highest indoor viewing point on each ship. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls will wrap around the space, offering guests 270-degree, outward-facing views and affording closer looks at wildlife and such at sea and in port. In addition, the expedition team will be in the lounge regularly to help identify points of interest, wildlife and geological wonders.
The new space, fashioned by hospitality design icon Adam D. Tihany, will include dark carpeting laid out with bright constellation patterns. In addition, the furniture is being created and designed by Tihany Product Design. The relaxed environment encourages guests to kick back, converse and enjoy.
The central bar of the Constellation Lounge will be a destination on its own, with textured marble and a geometrical faceted metal bar front. Lighting elements will create star-like lighting patterns across the ceiling.
The Constellation Lounge will serve Seabourn’s signature Early Morning Riser continental breakfast, as well as the line’s recently enhanced English-style Afternoon Tea service. In the evening, live piano entertainment will accompany cocktails and tapas served both before and after dinner.
Seabourn Venture and its sister expedition ship will have 132 luxury oceanfront veranda suites. Itineraries for the first season of Seabourn Venture are open for booking.
