Oceania Cruises announced details of its most ambitious OceaniaNEXT project to date with the stem-to-stern enhancements of the 1,210-guest ships Riviera and Marina. The rebuild will include new suites and staterooms and transformed public spaces.
Debuting in December 2022 and November 2023 respectively, Riviera and Marina will become better-than-new ships according to Oceania.
“At Oceania Cruises, we continue to raise the bar and elevate the guest experience at every opportunity. Whether it’s innovative new culinary concepts, immersive new destination experiences, or presenting our guests with ships that are not just better, but better than new, Oceania Cruises sets the standard by which others are judged,” said Howard Sherman, President & CEO of Oceania Cruises.
Luxuriously Designed Suites and Staterooms
On both Riviera and Marina, the suites and staterooms will be reimagined to provide a radiant and even more decadent degree of lavish comfort. Every suite and stateroom will receive a floor-to ceiling and wall-to-wall inspiration, with custom-crafted furnishings, exotic stone, polished wood finishes, and designer accessories.
Brand-new bathrooms will be more spacious than ever before and feature generous, oversized showers.
In addition, each private retreat will have an abundance of outlets and USB ports within easy reach.
Elegantly Restyled Public Spaces
Among public space updates, the ships’ convivial lounges, tony bars, and dining venues will benefit from an elegant restyling.
For aficionados of dining alfresco, there will be even more options. In addition to the seaside-inspired Terrace Café and the barbecue temptations of Waves Grill, the new Trattoria will feature an array of wood-fired pizzas and other Italian specialties every evening in a relaxed alfresco atmosphere.
The Grand Dining Room will be even more opulent with plush new carpets underfoot and lustrous, leather-covered armchairs.
The Polo Grill will have a new contemporary style with polished wood paneling, plush new carpeting, new wall coverings, and dramatic draperies to create a new yet delightfully familiar backdrop for the ultimate steakhouse experience at sea.
Debut Sailings
Riviera will debut her new look on December 7, 2022, on a 16-day cruise from Rome to Miami. From there, Riviera will resume her popular 7- to 14-day sailings from Miami to the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America before returning to Europe in late March 2023. The ship will then begin an inaugural season of Far East voyages during late 2023 and early 2024.
Marina will debut her new look on on November 13, 2023, on a 7-day cruise from Barcelona to Lisbon. From Lisbon, the ship will sail to Miami, kicking off an annual South America season on December 3, 2023.
