Itinerary at a Glance
DAY 1: Arrive in San Francisco
Welcome to San Francisco! At 6 pm, meet your Tour Director and traveling companions for a welcome drink.
DAY 2: San Francisco
Guided San Francisco sightseeing includes the Golden Gate Bridge and the Presidio. Visit to the Japanese Tea Garden, the oldest in the United States. Dinner at a local restaurant.
DAY 3: San Francisco – Napa Valley
In the morning, scenic drive across the Golden Gate Bridge en route to Sausalito with free time in this waterfront village. Travel to Napa Valley for a guided tour and wine tasting at a local vineyard.
DAY 4: Napa Valley – Yosemite National Park
Scenic drive through the Sierra Nevada Mountains en route to Yosemite National Park, followed by a scenic drive through the park. Scenic open-air tram ride includes views of El Capitan, Cathedral Spires, Yosemite Falls, and Half Dome.
DAY 5: Yosemite National Park – Monterey
In the morning, a scenic drive through Yosemite National Park, home to the Giant Sequoias of Mariposa Grove. Drive to Monterey for an orientation tour that includes Cannery Row.
DAY 6: Monterey
Scenic drive along 17-Mile Drive to see Pebble Beach Golf Course and the Lone Cypress en route to Carmel. Free time before dinner at a local restaurant.
DAY 7: Monterey – Solvang
Guided tour of Hearst Castle includes highlights of the 123-acre estate before continuing to Solvang.
DAY 8: Solvang – Los Angeles
Learn about the Danish culture in Solvang. Then, scenic drive through the Santa Ynez Mountains en route to Santa Barbara and visit to the historic Old Mission Santa Barbara. Free time before drive to Los Angeles.
DAY 9: Los Angeles
Guided city sightseeing includes Olvera Street, Hollywood, Sunset Strip, and Beverly Hills. Visit the J. Paul Getty Museum. Farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
DAY 10: Los Angeles
Your vacation ends with breakfast this morning.
