DAY 1: Arrive in Cape Town, South Africa
Your romantic journey begins in the heart of Cape Town, one of the world’s most beautiful cities.
DAY 2: Cape Town
View the pristine beaches of Camps Bay and hug the cliffs along legendary Chapman’s Peak Drive on your way to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Enjoy lunch and watch a colony of penguins at beautiful Boulders Beach. (B,L)
DAY 3: Cape Town
Start your day at the top of Table Mountain to view Cape Town before descending into the city for a private guided tour. Cape Town has some of the most colorful neighborhoods with quirky shops, artisans, and welcoming locals. (B,L)
DAY 4: Cape Town
Taste your way through Stellenbosch on a guided walk of family-owned specialty shops: artisanal breads, locally grown teas, biltong and droëwors (cured meats) and sweet treats like koeksisters and Amarula mousse. Enjoy a special wine tasting this afternoon. (B,L)
DAY 5: Cape Town – Kruger Private Reserve
Fly to your lodge in a private reserve in Kruger National Park, known for one of the country’s finest bush experiences. This afternoon depart on your guided first game drive, which extends into a thrilling night drive in search of nocturnal animals out on their nightly prowls. (B,L,D)
DAY 6: Kruger Private Reserve
Twice-daily game drives throughout the reserve, accompanied by expert rangers and trackers, provide plenty of opportunities to witness wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for the Big Five – the most iconic of the African animals. Meet members of the Tango K9 unit to learn about the work they do in combating poaching in and around the reserve.(B,L,D)
DAY 7: Kruger Private Reserve
Day at your leisure. Explore the rarer sights and wonders of the bush, or perhaps take a guided walk through the bush. Enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner under the stars. (B,L,D)
DAY 8: Kruger Private Reserve – Bazaruto Archipelago
Enjoy one final game drive before flying to the island of Mozambique. Your beach home is set in a protected marine conservation area, with pristine beaches and unspoiled coral reefs. (B,L,D)
DAY 9: Bazaruto Archipelago
Board a speedboat for an island-hopping adventure around the Archipelago. Hike up Bazaruto Dune and then head to Two Mile Reef for spectacular snorkeling among hundreds of species of tropical fish and coral – and possibly humpback whales during their annual migration. (B,L,D)
DAYS 10-11: Bazaruto Archipelago
For two days, opt for complete relaxation or adventure. Enjoy the spa, book a 4×4 drive among the local communities and dunes, horseback ride, go deep sea fishing, or enjoy a sunset dhow cruise. (B,L,D)
DAY 12: Bazaruto Archipelago – Johannesburg
Bid farewell to Africa, taking with you a lifetime of loving memories. Fly back to Johannesburg and your onward flight home.
