Crystal River Cruises has announced its 2022 River Collection, which includes new itineraries, new theme cruises, new combination voyages, and new ports of call.

The 2022 River Collection includes 155 all-inclusive luxury voyages on the Danube, Rhine and Main rivers. Crystal’s all-suite, all-balcony luxury sister ships – Crystal Bach, Crystal Debussy, Crystal Mahler and Crystal Ravel – will offer itineraries from seven to 10 nights.

Every 2022 itinerary includes at least two overnight stays, with some as many as four, allowing guests to explore destinations in more depth.

Highlighting the collection are new itineraries with maiden ports in Bulgaria and Romania, new themed voyages featuring Crystal’s popular Wine & Food Festival with special guest chefs, and Jewish Heritage cruises visiting pivotal historical sites.

New for 2022 is the Treasures of Southeast Europe itinerary, featuring maiden ports Vidin, Bulgaria and Giurgiu, Romania. The 2022 collection will also feature more seven-night itineraries, including round-trip options from convenient air travel hubs Vienna and Amsterdam. Many of these sailings are combinable for longer vacations.

“The magic of Crystal River voyages goes beyond the attentive, anticipatory luxury and service found aboard our ships. It extends to planning itineraries that showcase the most fascinating destinations – both well-known and less expected – and present the most authentic ways for our guests to experience them,” said Walter Littlejohn, vice president and managing director of Crystal River Cruises.

2022 Itinerary Highlights

Two May itineraries aboard Crystal Ravel, Treasures of Southeast Europe and Delightful Danube, can be combined for a 14-night voyage between Vilshofen, Germany and Giurgiu, Romania.

In July, two itineraries aboard Crystal Bach – the Dutch & Belgian Waterways voyage and the Legendary Rhine voyage – can be combined to create a five-country, 14-night voyage between Basel and Amsterdam.

The addition of new July departures along the Dutch & Belgian waterways allow guests to experience the region when the weather is cooler and crowds are fewer.

In October, both Crystal Bach and Crystal Mahler will feature Wine & Food Festival theme cruises, with cooking demos from local guest chefs onboard and immersive experiences onshore.

The new December Joyous Danube holiday voyage on Crystal Mahler sails round-trip from Vienna and celebrates the glittering Christmas markets of the region.

Crystal River Cruises was awarded top honors in 2019 for Best River Cruise Line in the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards and won Cruise Line of the Year and Most Luxurious Guest Experience by Virtuoso for 2018 and 2019.
