warnemundeAfter departing Copenhagen at 8pm, the Insignia had a relatively short journey to our first port of call, Warnemunde, Germany. From the pier, the small shopping village of Warnemunde is a short 5 to 10 minute walk. Along the way you also pass the train station, which provides service to central Rostock with a journey time of about 20 minutes. After wandering the small streets and alleys of Warnemunde in the morning, we returned to the ship for a quick snack before catching a train into Rostock. Much of the architecture in Rostock is reminiscent of Amsterdam with it's narrowed, gabled row houses lining the cobblestone streets.
