virtuosoFull days of meetings took most of our time during the symposium. On Saturday, we were scheduled to have lunch at Clark Quay. However, the hot and humid weather cancelled this outing in favor of lunch in the hotel restaurants.
Saturday evening we were hosted by the Luxury Collection and the Singapore Tourism Board to a Sarong Party at
Sentosa Island. On the beach at Sentosa, the band was playing, face painters and fortune tellers were wandering through the crowd and of course the liquid refreshment was flowing freely. Dinner was amazing, table after table of buffet style tropical fruits, barbequed meats and huge displays of deserts.

More meeting followed on Sunday, followed by lunch at the
Ritz Carlton. Hosted by Crystal Cruises and Ritz Carlton, the lunch was no less than a production.
After most of the attendees were seated, Matthew Upchurch, CEO of Virtuoso was "delivered" to the luncheon on a three wheel peddle cycle, in full costume of King Upchuck! Presentations by both Crystal and Ritz-Carlton were all addressed to King Upchuck and his "loyal subjects".
The closing dinner was held at the original Raffles Hotel, just across the street from the Raffles the Plaza. The cocktail reception was held in the outdoor courtyard, another rather sweltering event. After several presentations by the hosts Singapore Airlines and Raffles Hotel, we moved indoors for dinner.
