celebrity solstice Solstice Theatre |
In addition to 10 restaurants,
Solstice is packed with other great public areas, lounges, bars, quiet areas and of course - theatres. That's right - not just one theatre, but two. The main
Solstice Theatre occupies 4 decks in the very front of the ship. Seating over 1000 guests on 3 levels, the Solstice Theatre will initially present 3 Broadway style shows plus a variety of specialty acts including still performers, ring jugglers, fairy characters and a variety of acrobatic artists.
- "Solstice" - European-style theatrical circus built around the clash of day and night; includes vocalists, physical comedy, breathtaking group acrobatic and aerial performances and other specialty acts in a celestial celebration.
- "Ghost Light" - On the eve of an old Broadway theater's closing, the cast performing the venue's final show reminisces about all the productions the theater has hosted, leading to the venue to illuminate once again, in celebration of Broadway favorites past and present.
- "Pulse" - Show's central character, "Rhythm Man", ignites a motion and vocal spectacle driven by widely varied music and instruments that create the beat.
The second theatre, Celebrity Central seats about 200 guests in a more intimate setting perfect for a night out at the movies (including popcorn) a sales presentation or a cooking demonstration. Celebrity Central can be configured to open onto the main Entertainment Court which is shared with Quasar. Quasar is a modern nightclub with a retro feel, complete with disco balls, throbbing music and cocoon-shaped acrylic chairs suspended from the ceiling, It's a great place to dance the night away.
Continuing aft from the Entertainment Court on the Promenade Deck you'll find the Promenade of Shops, and Fortunes Casino. Flanking the atrium are two of the most popular lounges, Cellar Masters and Martini Bar. Reminiscent of a Napa-Valley wine cellar with it's dark woods and high back chairs, Cellar Masters will please any wine connoisseur. The Martini Bar features the cool blues of ice, snow and water, complete with a frosted bar top to keep your favorite drink chilled. In a nearby alcove is Crush featuring an ice-filled table center for the ultimate in vodka and caviar sampling sessions.
Moving up to the Entertainment Deck you'll find additional shops, Galleria Boutique, the Photo Gallery, Galleria Tastings and the art gallery grouped forward of the atrium. The Ensemble Lounge and Michel's Club are located aft near the specialty dining venues. Michael's is a Celebrity classic, offering a warm formal atmosphere with dark woods and low lighting. Entertainment in Michael's might be a piano player a string quartet or a soft jazz trio. The Ensemble Lounge is a perfect meeting place before dinner at one of the specialty restaurants or for an after dinner nightcap.
Two remaining public spaces of note provide some of the best views found onboard. All the way forward on the Lido deck is the Sky Observation Lounge. With beautiful floor to ceiling windows, this is a wonderful quiet hide-away during the day. At night, the lounge comes alive with a live band, a cocktail bar and dance floor. All the way aft and up one deck is the Sunset Bar. Celebrity is known for having wonderful outdoor spaces that overlook the ship's wake, and the Sunset Bar is no exception. Get comfortable at the bar, or enjoy a table overlooking the Lawn Club and wide expanses of the ocean beyond.
