hawaiiAs of July, Hawaiian island-hoppers can skip the airport security hassles with the new Hawaii Superferry. The high-speed vessel will connect Honolulu with Kauai and Maui, with plans to reach the Big Island by 2009. Current fares, $40 to $60 one-way depending on route and booking, are roughly equal to interisland air-fares. The ships boost a degree of comfort en route, offering a children’s play area, gaming arcade, Wi-Fi, bar, café and for a $20 upgrade, a first-class lounge.
