Seattle - Edgewater Hotel

After a late arrival into Seattle last night, we checked into Seattle's Edgewater Hotel.  They say this is the only waterfront hotel in Seattle.  The hotel is located on the far west side of downtown Seattle, literally built on a pier over Puget Sound.

Overall: Good (3 out of 5)

To Victoria by Clipper

Fairmont Empress Hotel - Victoria

This morning we're headed to Victoria.  Literally right next door, the departure pier for the Victoria Clipper is a very easy walk from the Edgewater Hotel, even if you are dragging luggage. The Clipper offers high speed travel to Victoria’s Inner Harbour along with some impressive sightseeing along the way through north Puget Sound and the Strait of Juan de Fuca.  Departing at 8:30, we arrived in Victoria at 11:15.

To Vancouver by Helicopter

Helijet Service between Victoria and Vancouver

Perhaps the highlight of the trip was the transfer from Victoria to Vancouver by helicopter provided by Helijet.  Within walking distance (although a bit more of a walk than the Clipper) the Victoria heliport is located at the entrance to the Inner Harbour. We were in a group of 6 on a 12 seat Sikorsky – so we all ended up with our own window seat.
