regent voyagerAfter the late evening departure from San Diego, we once again enjoy room service delivered coffee while attempting to catch up on emails and other work-related issues. But, apparently due to the ships position and course, the internet services are horribly slow and unreliable. Even the ships cellular phone network and several TV channels have been lost due to unreliable satellite data. The Internet Manager isn't much help, explaining the positional issue and the fact that there are no plans for upgrades onboard the Regent Voyager in the near future.
After finally giving up on the internet connection, we join a few hardy (it's breezy and chilly again) guests on the Pool Deck as the crew prepares another special luncheon "Sandwich Bar". Much of the guest discussions are related to lack of TV service (ESPN and CNN are out), unreliable internet and suspended cellular/data service.
The afternoon is once again spent relaxing with a few of the on-demand movies and TV shows and completing our packing. Departing guests are to have luggage out by 11pm for the ship's crew to transport ashore when we arrive in San Francisco tomorrow morning. Around 7pm we join a couple of our new friends in the Voyager Lounge for a final farewell before our 8:30 Prime 7 dinner. We again enjoy a wonderful dinner in this steak and seafood specialty restaurant.
After dinner we complete a few last minute departure items (a survey, final packing, a last drawer/closet check, etc) before turning in.
