DAY 1: Arrive Nairobi, Kenya
Jambo na Karibu! With a warm Swahili welcome upon your arrival, you’ll be transferred to your boutique hotel on the outskirts of Nairobi. Spend the rest of your day as you please.
DAY 2: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Your safari takes off with a flight to Amboseli National Park. Meet your expert ranger for an afternoon game drive. See some of Africa’s largest elephants as they amble through the grasslands with the snowcapped Mt. Kilimanjaro as the backdrop. (B, L, D)
DAY 3: Amboseli National Park
During your early morning game drive you may catch up with the big cats, sated after their night hunt. Watch for wildebeest, zebra, impala and warthogs and up to 300 species of birds. (B, L, D)
DAY 4: Lewa Wildlife Conservancy
From Amboseli, fly to Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive in search of the unique species found in this region, including the Grevy zebra and reticulated giraffe. (B, L, D)
DAY 5: Lewa Wildlife Conservancy
On an early morning game drive, you might come upon a cheetah snuggling with her cubs or a herd of gerenuk browsing in the foliage. Or, spot one of the 200 Black and White rhino that call this conservancy home. (B, L, D)
DAY 6: Masai Mara
Fly to the Masai Mara, Kenya’s premier game reserve. Your safari camp is located along the Sand River, where over a million wildebeest and zebra make their migration crossing every year. Take off on a game drive across the reserve’s grasslands and view the herds of plains game, elephants and other animals and birds. (B, L, D)
DAY 7: Masai Mara
On a morning game drive, keep a lookout for the black-maned lion, leopards and cheetahs returning from their night hunt and the bends of the traversing river where hippos and crocodiles spread out in their favorite feeding grounds. (B, L, D)
DAY 8: Masai Mara
Spend the day enjoying various game viewing activities. Optional activities include a hot air balloon ride or a visit to a traditional Maasai homestead. (B, L, D)
DAY 9: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Enjoy breakfast, before flying back to Nairobi. Lunch at Tamambo and visit the Giraffe Center. Relax in a day room before your transfer to the airport for your departure flight. (B, L)
