Cusco and Lima

After arriving back in Cusco late yesterday, we’ll spend the morning on a city tour and at Sacsayhuaman (pronounced sexy-woman), the walled Inca complex on a steep hill overlooking Cusco. Before returning to the hotel, we walk through the huge San Pedro market. The afternoon is “on our own”, which is quite enjoyable in this easily walkable city.  Our last evening in Cusco includes a presentation of ancient Andean musical instruments and a very unique dinner at the Pre-Colombian Art Museum.

After the short flight back to Lima and transfer to the Casa Andina Private Collection hotel in Miraflores, we have a half-day city tour including the Main Square, the Cathedral of Lima.  We also make an intersting stop at the Larco Herrera Museum with an extensive collection of pre-Inca ceramics.
