Crystal Unveils Design for Luxury Jet Cruises

Crystal AirCruisesIn 2017, Crystal Cruises will compliment their line of luxury cruise ships with a fleet of ultra-luxurious airplanes. They recently unveiled the latest designs for the first aircraft, a Boeing 777-200LR.

Crystal’s privately owned Boeing 777-200LR is currently being transformed to meet Crystal’s exceptional standards of customization. It is larger and newer than any private jet travel option, appointed with features more commonly found in luxury suites.

The 77 will boast plush, fully reclining Crystal Exclusive Class™ seats, airy social spaces, large flat-screen TVs, Crystal’s famous butler and concierge services and Michelin Star-inspired cuisine, prepared by a dedicated executive chef in two state-of-the-art galleys. More than 300 wine bottles will be stored in a main-deck “sky cellar.”

The aircraft will carry just 84 passengers on its 14-, 21- and 28-day itineraries, plus a crew that includes 12 butlers and a lead butler, a concierge, a chef and a doctor.

The jet will feature a cabin of lie-flat, forward-facing seats and wide aisles. A separate, aft cabin will include dining tables, leather dining chairs (imported from Wales) and a lounge area. A good portion of the overhead bins were stripped away, leaving the cabins large and airy.

Guests will also enjoy creature comforts and conveniences including Bose noise-canceling headphones, Apple iPads, complimentary global Wi-Fi, 24-inch interactive TVs with on-demand programming and music library, individual USB ports and power outlets, and a live cockpit-to-ground listening channel.

Custom blankets, lumbar and pillows, plush duvets and mattress toppers – as well as spacious lavatories appointed with ETRO amenities – offer more than the comforts of home during the global journeys.

Crystal plans to release itineraries in October, with service starting in September 2017.
