Crystal Cruises is having one of the boldest expansions ever seen in the travel industry.
“Crystal is a 26-year-old brand that didn’t grow for 24 years. But then we got new owners (Genting Hong Kong) and that changed everything,” said Crystal President and CEO Edie Rodriguez.
What changed is dramatic – new river, expedition and ocean cruise ships, as well as luxury air and private jet journeys.
Crystal River Cruises
Crystal Bach and Crystal Mahler will debut on August 13 and September 30, 2017, respectively. The 106-passenger vessels are the first two of six new builds on order. Unique features of the ships include a Palm Court with a glass ceiling and the pool area will also have a glass roof. Rooms will have floor-to-ceiling glass walls that become French Balconies at the touch of a button. The current river ship, Crystal Mozart, sold out its inaugural year and is the most fully-booked vessel for Crystal in 2017.
Crystal Yacht Expedition Cruises
The Crystal Esprit is Crystal’s successful entry into the boutique yacht experience. This highly rated yacht creates an intimate experience for its 62 guests and is equipped with its own speedboat and a two-passenger submersible. After its inaugural season in the Seychelles, Crystal Esprit moves to the Caribbean in the winter of 2017.
With Crystal AirCruises, Crystal created a groundbreaking development in the luxury travel industry. Crystal’s Boeing 777-200LR is larger and newer than any private jet travel option, appointed with features more commonly found in luxury suites. It boasts boast plush, fully reclining Crystal Exclusive Class™ seats, airy social spaces, large flat-screen TVs, Crystal’s butler and concierge services and Michelin Star-inspired cuisine.
Crystal AirCruises, in partnership with Wine Spectator magazine, created an itinerary that takes guests to the world’s most celebrated wine regions and lets them be treated to tasting and educational experiences. The 16-day “Savoring the Winelands” itinerary departs on June 1, 2018.
Crystal Ocean Cruises
Crystal’s two ocean-going vessels, Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, the world’s most awarded luxury ships, continue to embody the cornerstones of Crystal Cruises. They will undergo the most extensive drydocks in their history in the fall of 2017 and October of 2018. They will emerge with a more intimate passenger capacity, larger suites, and additional Penthouses and Penthouse Suites for each as well as new modern dining venues. Guests will receive unlimited complimentary Wi-Fi – an amenity that will be available onboard all Crystal vessels.
