Celebrity Cruises is planning a massive renovation of its entire fleet, to the tune of more than $500 million over five years. Named the Celebrity Revolution, all of the Celebrity ships will be upgraded with new features and enhancements.
Some of the new features will make their debut on the Celebrity Edge, their newest ship due to sail in late 2018.
Included in the enhancements will be a major redesign and reconfiguration of all staterooms. Over 11,500 cashmere-covered mattresses and bed sets will be added and spaces will be reconfigured to maximize storage.
New Retreat Sundecks and Retreat Lounges, also making their debut on the Celebrity Edge, will be added. Exclusively to Celebrity’s suite guests, the new spaces will feature outdoor areas to unwind, dine, and drink, and indoor areas to listen to live entertainment.
Celebrity Cruises will introduce the new Oceanview Café, an international marketplace, on the Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Infinity, Celebrity Millennium and Celebrity Summit. Menus will be inspired by the destinations the ships sail to.
The renovations will take place between 2019 and 2023.
