In March, Azamara officially became an independent cruise company, under the new ownership of an affiliate of Sycamore Partners. To celebrate this new beginning and exciting future ahead, Azamara has revealed the name of the newest member of its fleet, Azamara Onward.
The name Onward was chosen because Azamara believes it represents moving forward in space or time and is meant to evoke feelings of resilience, positivity, and the endless possibilities of the future. As a whole, the name reflects the brand’s trajectory and journey to the next chapter.
Azamara currently has three ships – Azamara Journey, Azamara Quest, and Azamara Pursuit. Azamara’s fourth ship will arrive in 2022 with a full renovation to reflect its signature boutique hotel at sea experience that guests know and love.
Azamara’s fleet offers the perfect blend of intimate onboard experiences and its Destination Immersion itineraries. The smaller ships are perfectly sized to cross oceans, sail into intimate rivers, cruise along scenic waterways, and dock at locations bigger ships can’t reach.
