1.  Signature Cuba: A Private People to People Journey

This 7-day private journey allows you to experience Havana and its surrounds with full days spent making meaningful people-to-people connections that reveal the spirit of this culture-rich island nation and those who embody its vibrant spirit.

Dates and Prices

There are multiple departure dates in 2016. You’ll be accompanied by an A&K local guide. Prices start at $10,795 per person, based on double occupancy, and include most meals. Pricing for 4 guests is $8,295 per person. Airfare between Miami and Havana is additional.

On this 10-day People-to-People tour, you’ll immerse yourself in culturally rich Cuba. Immerse yourself in Cuban culture, exploring its architecture, agriculture, music, and dining during intimate, one-on-one experiences with residents.

  • Discover Cuba’s and America’s great shared passion, baseball, at a game where you meet and engage with the players, and even have the opportunity to play a few innings with them
  • Engage in a stimulating discussion of the history of U.S.-Cuba relations with a former Cuban Foreign Services Scholar in Havana
  • Join a local architect for an educational walk through Havana, discussing its historic styles, ongoing restoration efforts and their impact on the community
  • Explore Las Terrazas eco-community, and learn about Cuba’s environmental commitments at this unique UNESCO Biosphere Reserve

 3.  Cuba: Across the Island: People to People

Discover Cuba on this 13-day island tour of Cuba. You’ll travel the entire length of the island and engage with locals from farmers to artists to students, all for a meaningful look at this small, but dynamic Caribbean nation.

Itinerary Highlights

  • Take a boat ride to Cayo Granma to meet with local fishermen and children, discussing the Children of the Dreams and Fantasies Project, which creates art from objects that have washed ashore
  • Try your hand at making traditional tinajones (earthenware pots) at Casanova Pottery Studio in Camaguey, learning about the precision, skills and knowledge required to create these pieces
  • Engage with locals at the King Ranch, watching a rodeo and horseback or buggy riding into town; visiting the local school; and interacting with residents, including a farmer and his family
  • Observe a local farmer as he prepares a cassava specialty, which you sample with other farmstead-produced items
  • Watch as students at the Vicentina de la Torre art school learn to perfect their skills and prepare for auditions
  • In Camaguey and Holguin, meet with the artists whose work you have seen at your hotels and in towns
